Marta in Venice Beach
I met Marta in 2016 and she fast became one of my favorite models I’ve ever worked with. She has an undeniable presence — goofy, witty, exuberant — that makes my job as a photographer so much easier. She seriously can’t take a bad picture.

Whenever I’m in LA, we tend to get together; sometimes it’s just for a quick lunch date, sometimes we’ll shoot, on our last trip we hiked Runyon Canyon. On my trip to the west coast in September, we got together at a gorgeous house in Venice Beach to shoot and catch up for a while.
I’ve got a ton of other photos from this day (including some really great Fuji and Portra film shots) that I’ll be sharing more of in the future!
Side note, I posted a photoset of some of these images to Instagram, and lately I’ve been feeling the white border so that I don’t have to crop the image. Let me know what you think about that layout / aesthetic choice.
